What is the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing is adjusting all the tracks you have recorded to your songs. That means inserting effects, adjusting levels, applying EQ, etc. We will align the recorded parts to make sure everything is synchronized and balanced. Once the process is finished, the result should amuse your ears and make you feel assured that it doesn’t need any more adjusting.
Mastering is treating a single file containing the final mix and boosting it to its fullest potential. It’s the calibration that makes your song as “big” and as “clear” as possible, maintaining the original dynamics, balance, and quality. It also makes all songs in an album sound uniform and homogeneous.
Why should I have my audio mastered?
Mastering is the latest stage in enhancing your recording to its maximum potential. It brings to your music the necessary commercial quality to feature among top artists, whether on radio, CD, or streaming. The mastering helps you on getting advantage of all your song can give.
